Wellon Bridgers


After receiving her BA from Auburn University and her MA in English from Wake Forest, Wellon Bridgers discovered her artistic talent in an experimental painting course while was teaching in the Honors College at the University of Alabama.

Her passion for painting has continued ever since.



​“My artwork is abstract representational, which leaves the viewer’s own personal journey to interpret the painting’s elements,” Wellon says.  “For me, painting has become a means to see Truth revealed through the natural world, imagination, people, and ultimately Scriptures.“

In addition to  being seen for the first time in Atlanta at Teal, Wellon’s work is displayed in galleries throughout the Southeast: in Birmingham, Charleston and Asheville; as well as Lexington, KY and New Albany, IN.

Wellon lives in Birmingham and is married and the busy mother of toddler twins. Through the sales of Wellon’s artwork, the Bridgers family looks forward to adopting two children from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
