Jo Baskerville



Jo Baskerville is a contemporary artist based in Atlanta.  His paintings have been described as elegant, profound, sexy.  The works are inspired by fashion, art, cinema and world culture.



The artist believes art and fashion are one.  Fashion Modernism brings elements from the fashion world to the canvas to create these works of art.  As seen through the eyes of a dreamer traveling through the history of fashion, he shares fictional tales and documentaries on a two dimensional surface.  These works of art become intertwined with sound, cinematography, and the elements of a great film.

A native of Petersburg, Virginia, Jo developed a love for art and fashion at an early age. Excelling in art and art history while attending Norfolk Sate University, Jo received his B.A. in Fine Art.
